In many circles, Todd Haley’s star has sunk faster than, well, a comet. The Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach bungled through a brutal first year that included a long list of smacks: his star running back questioned his sexual orientation, a prima donna receiver wanted to bolt the team, concerns about his character arose after he flashed a fan the finger, the starting quarterback who makes more than Drew Brees put up numbers only slightly better than JaMarcus Russell, and, worst of all, a 4-12 record made “job security” seem like an oxymoronic phrase.
