NFL News, Top PostsThe 3 fastest men in the NFL, according to Chris Johnson
The Tennessee Blur known as Chris Johnson provides an interesting Tweet about the fastest men in the NFL.

According to the Titan running back, one of six in the history of the league to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season, there are three players in the league who are “crackhead fast.”
Johnson names himself, Buffalo Bills rookie running back C.J. Spiller and the “receiver from Steelers who wears No. 17,” Mike Wallace, as the league’s top speed merchants.
In a league where that physical attribute (combined with football ability) creates wanton fear among opponents and coaches, as well as a rarified mystique, it’s interesting to note that good ol’ No. 17 also merits Johnson’s consideration.
The after burner speed of the running backs are well known.
Johnson set the modern-day (2000s) NFL draft scouting combine record when he posted a 4.24 time in the 40-yard dash in 2008, which elevated the East Carolina Pirate’s stock into the first round.
Spiller, who ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds at this year’s combine and was drafted 9th overall, scored a head-shaking 21 TDs of 50 yards or more while at Clemson. And Spiller wasn’t even the fastest running back at the combine, finishing 2 hundredths of a second behind the Lions’ Jahvid Best.
Wallace, who clocked a 4.33 at the 2009 combine – second best among receivers, blossomed as a rookie last season, recording 39 catches for 756 yards and 6 TDs.
His speed and ability to separate from defenders made it easier for the Steelers to deal Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes to the Jets.
But one of the three fastest men in the league?
Discuss.
