NFL News, Top PostsRams re-sign free agent safety O.J. Atogwe
Safety Oshiomogo (O.J.) Atogwe may have just discovered that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Atogwe signed a 5-year, $32 million deal with his old team, the Rams, less than a month after becoming that rare June unrestricted free agent and finding precious few other offers to his liking.
Atogwe, who was tendered a salary at the lowest level in March, couldn’t reach agreement on a multi-year pact with the Rams in the ensuing months and became a free agent on June 1.
“Many emotions flowed through this entire process,” said Atogwe during a conference call.
“At times I felt like I was coming back and at times I felt I wasn’t. Through the passage of time and through patience and prayer, the best decision came to me.”
Over the past four seasons, Atogwe has recorded more than 300 tackles and forced 33 turnovers (19 interceptions and 14 forced fumbles).
“We are excited to have O.J. back in the fold. We were always hopeful for this result. We look forward to having his leadership, character and talent back on our defense,” Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said in a statement.
