NFL News, Top PostsChargers trade CB Antonio Cromartie to the Jets
Mere hours before the start of free agency, the San Diego Chargers dealt the New York Jets a corner to pair with all-world Darrelle Revis.

Antonio Cromartie, who was an all-pro in 2007 when he snagged 10 interceptions, has struggled the last two seasons in San Diego and was dealt for a reported conditional 3rd-round pick in 2011 which could turn into a 2nd-round pick.
At 6-2, 203 lbs, Cromartie has 15 interceptions since being a first-round draft pick (19th overall) in 2006 and will like be replaced in San Diego by Antoine Cason.
The 25-year-old Cromartie arrives in the Big Apple with his share of baggage. He has fathered seven children by different women and has been served with five paternity suits; claimed he was assaulted after a game in Denver last season but no charges were laid; and was fined $25,000 by the Chargers for Tweeting while on the team’s premises – he was complaining about the food being served.
Cromartie replaces Lito Sheppard, who was released earlier Thursday by the Jets.
