As expected, Bills fans won’t get a chance to gripe about their concussed signal caller this week.
Trent Edwards, who was knocked out in the second quarter of last Sunday’s Jets game, will remain on the sidelines when the Bills take on the Panthers.
Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick, who led the team to the 16-13 come-from-behind OT win, gets the start.
Edwards, known as Capt. Checkdown in Buffalo for his propensity to throw to backs and tight ends, has been sacked 19 times this season. The Jets never got to Fitzpatrick on Sunday.
The Bills will also be without FS Donte Whitner (ankle), SS Bryan Scott (ankle), and RT Jonathan Scott (ankle).
