Fantasy FootballTerrell Owens
Here’s a shocker: T.O. is happier having Ryan Fitzpatrick throw him the ball.
And while he was tossing kudos to the Bills’ newest starting QB, he decided to – wait for it – take a not-so-subtle jab at Buffalo’s former regular pivot, Trent Edwards.
“If you think about the opportunities we’ve had during the course of the season, I’ve been open and I’ve been overthrown and I’ve been underthrown,” Owens said of Edwards before sending some love to Fitzpatrick.
“Now with [Ryan Fitzpatrick] back there, there are opportunities and I feel like I’m a part of the offense. Whereas, I know earlier, those feelings and those opportunities, I didn’t feel that they were there.”
THE SIGNPOST
Owens has gained 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the last two weeks with the Fitzpatrick at the helm. However, facing the Jets Thursday night (8:20 p.m. NFL Network) in Toronto, Owens will be up against Darrelle Revis, who is not only one of the best cornerbacks in the league, but shutdown the mercurial receiver in their first encounter this year. Expect more of the same north of the border.
