Larry Johnson, New England Patriot?
It would fit Bill Belichick’s m.o. Take a disgruntled castoff (a la Randy Moss) and put him in the Patriots’ locker room and let Tom Brady and Co. rub off.
Reports out of Washington say the Redskins aren’t interested in Johnson. The ‘Skins were supposedly a potential fit for the ex-Chiefs’ running back because of Clinton Portis’s injury struggles. But the Washington Times reports the Redskins will pass. The Houston Texans reportedly may be interested. Johnson, however, says he wants to play for the Super Bowl champion Steelers. Pittsburgh’s running game looked just fine on Monday night, so don’t count on LJ getting his wish.
THE SIGNPOST: Keep Johnson if you have him or pick him up if you don’t. His situation should be sorted out by Week 11. If there’s any chance he might play for New England, his fantasy football value rockets.
