Frank Gore

The 49ers RB practised in full on Tuesday despite sporting an ugly bruise around his eye.

Gore was poked in the eye during San Francisco’s 34-27 loss to the Titans on Sunday.

However, Gore is expected to play in the 49ers’ home contest against the Chicago Bears Thursday night (8:20 p.m. NFL Newtork).

“I was all right. But I wanted to win,” Gore told reporters. “I told my boys that I’m going to stay out there and fight with them, and that’s what I did.”

It’s going to take more than a bruised eye to keep him out of action. Gore has a favorable matchup this week, facing a Bears team ranked 20^th against the run.
