Cedric Griffin

The Minnesota Vikings CB may not be ready to play at the start of next season.

Cedric Griffin, who was injured during the overtime kickoff in Sunday’s 31-28 loss in New Orleans, needs surgery on his left knee.

Coach Brad Childress said the recovery time for such an injury is six to nine months. Griffin led the Vikings with four interceptions this season.
